From Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (Hyderabad) to NIT Warangal 

The journey from Hyderabad to NIT Warangal typically takes around 2.5 to 4 hours by road or rail, depending on the mode of transport and traffic conditions. 

  • By Taxi/Cab:The most convenient option is to book a prepaid taxi or use app-based services (like Ola/Uber) directly from the airport.
  • Duration:Approximately 2.5 to 3 hours.
  • By Bus:This is the most affordable option.
  • Take the “Pushpak” airport shuttle bus to Uppal X Road or Secunderabad.
  • From there, board a state-run (TSRTC) or private bus heading towards Hanamkondaor Warangal.
  • Ask the driver to drop you at the NIT Warangal gate, which is on the main road.
  • By Bus and Train (Cheapest/Best without car):
  • Take an airport bus to the Secunderabad Railway Station.
  • From Secunderabad, take a train to Kazipet Junction (KZJ), which is generally preferred as it’s closer to NITW.
  • From Kazipet Junction, you can take a 5-minute auto-rickshaw ride to the campus. 

From Local Railway Stations to NIT Warangal

  • Kazipet Junction (KZJ):Located just 3 km from NIT Warangal. Auto-rickshaws are readily available outside the station for a short ride to the campus.
  • Warangal Railway Station (WL):About 10-12 km away. Auto-rickshaws are available, but the journey takes longer (around 25-30 minutes) and costs more than from Kazipet.
